Here are some pages from my own copy of my first book, on the people of Indonesia, published in 1983. Tear sheets instead of full images because the original transparencies are damaged and I am still in the process of restoring them and creating digital versions. These are of course from the days of sensitive film and labs overseas, and no photoshop; so every image is straight out of the camera. Shot on Nikons, Leicas and Hasselblads, using mostly 35mm Kodachrome and Ektachrome Professional 120. Virtually no cropping, other than to fit the space on the page, and no post-processing. The book would have looked very different if published today. You can still find the book available for sale, second hand, on Amazon from time to time.
